Welcome to the Town Plan Home Page
Creating a Town Plan is an opportunity for local people to set out a shared vision for the future of their area, and to develop an action plan for achieving this. It is a process by which the whole community can voice their opinions on which actions they wish to see taken in the future.
What’s it got to do with me?
- If you live, work, play or go to school in Winslow then the Town Plan involves you
- You can influence how Winslow develops over the next twenty years
- Housing, jobs, schooling, leisure activities and transport are all covered by the Plan
How can I be involved?
- Hundreds of people have already been involved by attending the Town Plan Open Days commenting on what’s good and bad about Winslow and identifying the challenges for the future.
- You can still have some input to the plan and the best way is to complete the survey on this website
What will be the final outcome?
The plan will be produced as a booklet which will:-
- provide clear evidence of residents’ aspirations and priorities
- develop a plan for the future of our community which the Town, County and District Council can support
- open up funding streams for projects – many grants are only available if evidenced by a Town or Community Plan
- encourage partnership working by highlighting projects that need help from external agencies as well as from local people
- influence and inform the Sustainable Community Strategy and the Local Development Framework
